The club is based at the Mayflower Sports Ground, Rosebery Avenue, Boston, PE21 7QR. We meet every Tuesday and Friday night from 18:00 to shoot, Friday nights are often reserved for beginners where they will receive one to one coaching to help you get started. There is a licensed bar with toilet facilities on site , where a few of the members retire to once shooting is complete.
Due to the Boston Laval twining of the two towns the archery club enjoys a special relationship with the archery club from Laval in France. Where every other year a few of our archers will travel to Laval and stop with families over there to shoot against the French, and then some of the French archers will make the journey to the UK where families over here that belong to the archery club will put them up for a week as we show them our country and have some fun tournaments.
The annual membership fees are £100.00 for adults and £40.00 for juniors (under 18) There is also a reduced fee for students aged 18 and over, in full time education, if they wish to remain as a member of the Club These membership fees include the cost of affiliating members to Archery GB, the East Midlands Archery Society (EMAS) and the Lincolnshire County Archery Society (LCAS). Affiliation to Archery GB is compulsory as this provides the Third Party Liability insurance cover. This is a requirement for all members and no-one may shoot either at practice nights or in competition without being a member of Archery GB.
Additionally, members pay a shooting fee each night they shoot, currently £2.00 for seniors and £1.00 for juniors. This helps to pay for targets, target faces and other equipment needed by the club.
