The annual Brass Monkey shoot has been and gone for this year, and here are the results from that shoot. Please click on the link below for more information.
Most of you know that we have a French twin-town, Laval. Many of you will also know that our Club has strong links with a French archery Club.
The umbrella organisation for organising all this is the Boston International Committee, of which, Ian Clayton is the chairman.
This organisation needs funds to operate. Therefore, that Committee is organising a Race Night at Merrimans Retaurant on 30th April.
Tickets are £8.00 which includes a basket meal of scampi and chips or chicken goujons and chips together with one free bet on the allocated race. It would be great to see lots of you there (if it is your thing). For further information and tickets contact Ian.
The work party for this years Brass Monkey will begin at 9:00am due to the amount of people willing to help setting the field up.
On the calendar page you will find a download for a PDF with some addtional dates for 2017 tournaments.
Please find the minutes of the meetings held on Friday. I think they are a true record but if you feel I have missed anything or have mis-interpreted anything, please let me know ASAP because a year is a long time to remember exactly what was discussed.
Below is a list of shoots whose scores will be used for the EMAS Senior Team selection as decided at the County Chairmans meeting in 2015. The WMAS Challenge shoot will hopefully be held in our region this year. The shoots are:

Taken from an email I received earlier.
As you may be aware from my email we delayed the publishing of the entry form for the Silver Spoon Bowmen 720 as we weren't 100% confident of our venue access. Unfortunately despite our previous hopes, I'm afraid we have been forced to make the hugely difficult decision to cancel our 720. I'm sorry it has come to this and I apologise for the sudden change, but it is better for everyone involved if we cancel now while there is still time for you to find an alternative (just for this year). we fully anticipate that we will be up and running again next year and i truly hope this will not put you off returning to us for future shoots. Kindest regards Emily Must"
A rather large update for the news incoming.
There is a distinct possibility the the Club AGM will be held on FRIDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY. It normally yakes place after shooting so we open the range earlier. I will keep you posted
We are now in a position to arrange the skills night. This first one will deal with fletching arrows and arrow maintenance, nocking points and serving and other string related items. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on with these things. I know it does not seem much but these small things often baffle folks. We hope to do this on either Tuesday, 2nd February or Thursday, 9th February. 7.00-9.00 in the range. If you wish to attend, please let me know the preferable date by WEDNESDAY, 25TH JANUARY.
